A Markdown-to-document converter that takes the document seriously
Markdown is the right tool for writing. Word is the wrong tool for shipping. md2document is the bridge - Markdown in, branded PDF or DOCX out.
What this is
A browser-based Markdown to PDF and DOCX converter. You paste Markdown, pick a template and design, and the tool emits a clean, branded document. The conversion runs in your browser; the public flow does not upload anything.
Eleven templates ship - Proposal, Report, Resume, Cover Letter, Invoice, Quote, Memo, White Paper, Meeting Notes, Blog Post, Blank. Ten designs and twelve font-family pairings sit on top. Picking a register takes thirty seconds; the rest is writing.
What it isn't
- Not a Markdown editor. Use your editor of choice - iA Writer, VS Code, Obsidian, Typora, Bear. Paste here when you want the document.
- Not a Pandoc replacement. If you need LaTeX-grade math, a BibTeX-managed bibliography or a CI build pipeline, Pandoc is still the right tool.
- Not a CMS. The public flow has no concept of saved documents. Save the configuration as a JSON file, or sign up and we sync your projects to your account.

How we make money
We don't, yet. The free converter is funded by the time we spend on it. We may add a paid tier for shared brand kits, team libraries or custom font uploads. The core converter - paste, pick, export - stays free either way.
