Turn a Markdown article into a clean PDF

When you want a long article saved for offline reading or an essay turned into a hand-out, the Blog Post template gives you editorial typography without the chrome of a website.

Steps

  1. Open the converter.
  2. Pick the Blog post template.
  3. Replace the title, subtitle, byline and body.
  4. The Editorial theme is the default — keep it for that magazine register.
  5. Export PDF.

Why no cover page

A blog post starts with the title and the lede, not with a cover. The template defaults to no cover, no ToC, and no page numbers — the PDF reads like a printed article instead of a corporate report.

Pull-quotes that look like pull-quotes

Use a Markdown blockquote (> ...) for pull-quotes. The Editorial theme renders the blockquote with a sienna accent on the left border and italicized body — it is the rare blog-post element that benefits from a strong visual treatment.
